26th Balkan Cuisine Winter Comfort Food with Aleksandra (Toronto)

Aleksandra’s passion and love affair with food started at a young age with her grandmother and father back in Bosnia. During her class, you will learn how to make the Balkan comfort dishes to fight the winter blues. Aleksandra’s love for cooking and baking is contagious. You’ll be exploring ingredients that make a great soup along with Aleksandra’s personal techniques in stretching one of the most delicious strudels! Lizka is from Panama and wants to share her knowledge & memories as well as the tastes and soundsof her beautiful country! Lizka’s class is party central – you get to see all her kitchen equipment & tools from back home. You may need to bring your dancing shoes as the Panamanian music will make it hard to keep your feet still! The dishes are great to entertain any guest and make it a festivity in your own kitchen! Kyunga’s was brought up with her mom’s delicious homemade cooking back in Seoul, Korea. In their kitchen, Kyunga learned many traditional Korean homemade dishes from her mom. During Kyunga’s class, you will discover Korea’s wonderful food and culture on this special gastronomic adventure. Learn how to prepare traditional Korean dishes, and how to eat these dishes. Kyunga will walk you through step by step on how to make each of her dishes and where to find some of the foreign ingredients in Toronto. For more information.

We didn’t quite believe it until we took our own trip to his kitchen! In this exciting cooking class, Raymond will show off the popular Kenyan dishes that are both healthy and easy to make at home. 21st  Vietnamese Memories of Saigon with Minh (Mississauga)

During this class you will get to experience the delicate balance of fresh herbs and art of plating. Minh will tell you Southern Vietnamese cuisine is composed of different textures and flavours from a variety of ingredients that make up a dish. This is different to the northern regions of Vietnam where starchy dishes are popular. Southern Vietnamese cuisine is influenced by French cuisine as well rich in flavour because of the geographical richness of the area. For more information.
